Mind

Mental health is an essential part of children’s overall health because the state of our mind works with our body to influence how we think, feel, and act. Our emotions are formed from what our senses pick up and then this changes systems within our body. These signals can sometimes be overactive or underactive, which can affect your child’s ability to live in harmony. The changes in these systems then manifest in our quality of health. But there is hope! We can use mindfulness to help influences these systems and live in a state of harmony with ourselves and the environment.

Body

Nutrition and activity are essential to a developing body. The body is a cherished vessel that allows us to live out our purpose through our dreams, thoughts, and feelings from the day we are born until the day we die. When we have a balanced diet and participate in activities that help us thrive our body lives in harmony, we are more aligned with our authentic self.

Social

Humans are social creatures, so interpersonal relationships run our world. Our higher intelligence allows us to consciously work with each other to achieve all kinds of human endeavors. The connection we hold with nature is another aspect of that. We can socialize and have a relationship with the plants and animals that coexist with us. Our surroundings help us maintain our health in order to be loving members of society.
